Day 8 Activities

1.    Opening / Production Start Up Procedures

You will follow and observe an assigned SME / Manager implement production floor start up procedures for the workday. This includes but is not limited to:

a)      Floor safety check

• 6S Daily Audit
• 6S Managers Weekly Audit - Online

a)      Equipment checks

b)     Work order assignment

c)      Team meeting / Huddle Board

2.    Review and e-Learn

a)      You will review with your direct supervisor the previous days lesson(s) and activities

b)     You will take e-Lessons/videos/Quizzes:

• Component Corrections and Staging for delivery 10.1
• Inquire on Work Order 10.1
• Create Work Order 10.1
• Work Order Maintenance 10.1
• Item Movement 10.1

3.    BLR Safety Training

You will complete e-Modules:

a)      Working in Cold Conditions 10.1

b)     Ergonomics 10.1

4.    Communication Basics – (Part 5)

You will complete e-Lesson Communication Basics 14.1 – Crucial Conversation and DISC, where you will learn about your personality type and how to effectively interact with other personality types.

5.    Strategic Negotiations

You will complete e-LessonStrategic Negotiations 10.1, where you will learn how to effectively influence high stake conversations.

6.    Production Floor Shift Change / End of Day Operations

You will follow and observe and assigned SME or Manager implement shift change and or End of day operations. This included but is not limited to:

b)     Floor safety check / audit(s) (6S and Managers Weekly audit)

a)      Equipment checks / maintenance / Cleaning / Lock Out -Tag Out Procedures (e mod)

b)     Work order communication – subsequent shift

c)      Team Meeting / Huddle Board

7.    Inventory Movement

A local SME will explain how door shop inventory flows through the organization and is realized by our current ERP. This includes but is not limited to:

• Current work in progress
• Backflush Inventory
• Understanding Transfers (A vs. F warehouse)
