Day 2 Activities

 

1.    Review & e-Learn

You will review with your direct supervisor the previous days lesson(s) and activities including the previous days lessons.

 

2.    Logistics Lesson 1 of 2

a)      You will take e-Module Introduction to Logistics 10.1 (20 Min.)

b)     Your direct supervisor will schedule your participation in the “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes Program”

c)      Please click the above-mentioned link to view the program agenda and requirements

 

3.    BLR / JJ Keller - Safety Training

You will complete the following 2 BLR Safety Training Modules:

a)      Warehouse Safety 10.1

b)     Good Housekeeping 10.1

c)      Hazzard Communication 10.1

 

4.    Salesforce Lesson 1 – Overview (Customizing Your Home Page)

a)      A local SME will demonstrate how to access and use Salesforce.com

b)     You will simultaneously refer to:

c)      You will then complete the training module Salesforce 10.1 - Customizing Your Home Page

 

5.    Communication Basics - Part 1

You will complete e-Lesson Communication Basics 10.1 where you will learn how to develop your professional presence, body language and verbal skills.

 

6.    Door Production – Order Entry and Production Planning (Cells 1-3)

a)      An assigned SME or CSR Lead will explain and demonstrate how a Therma Tru door order is generated and examined for accuracy. This includes:

b)     The Production Coordinator will explain and demonstrate how the:

*Note, the review/*vetting procedures mentioned above (steps a & b,) are two separate processes. 

c)      You will vet, schedule, print and release in Pronto at least 4 orders with the Production Coordinator

Note, Pronto defaults may have been set by a previous user rendering your functionality and or views as slightly different. (note here and on SOP smart work tips)

 

7.    Door Production – Staging Order Components (Cells 4&5)

a)      The Material Handler will demonstrate how items on the order are inspected, picked, and staged in the prep shop.

b)     You will work with the Material Handler and inspect, pick, and stage the 4 orders that you have previously released with the Production Coordinator. Refer to SOP P 38.1 - Voice Picking for Door Shops

c)      The Material Handler will explain how to maintain the prep shop

d)     The production Coordinator will explain how the order is dispatched and updated. Refer to SOPXXX -Pronto – Sarah/Tom will develop.

 

8.    Practical Exercise

For the remainder of the day (½ day minimum,) you will work with the Production Coordinator and Material Handler applying all previous lessons learned including but not limited to:

a)      Work order vetting, scheduling, printing, issue/release

b)     Work order inspection, picking and staging

c)      Work order dispatch / updating
